Founder and Director
Udeet J Methala has over six years of experience in sustainable architecture.
He believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to Architecture that traverses Urban and Rural Planning, Community Development and Sustainable Habitats.
Practising as a building energy consultant he also trains architects in India to use Building Energy Modelling tools in design strategy, so as to develop energy efficient and sustainable building designs.
In 2014, He was part of an international research team conducting a 4-country study on DRO (Democratic Rural Organisations) and was responsible for fieldwork, analysis and recommendations to donors and NGOs in Denmark and Cambodia.
In 2015, he was Project Manager of the Building Energy Modelling and Advisory Project, Fairconditioning Programme, with overall responsibility for developing a project strategy, evolving ideas around solutions, and executing research, analysis, reporting and project delivery, beginning at the inception of the project.
Since then he has worked independently and with mainstream architecture firms on large scale residential, institutional, commercial, high-end hospitality, slum rehabilitation schemes and city-scale slum masterplan projects, in various parts of India.
Passionate about social issues and sustainability concerns, he has worked on Landscape Architecture, Town Planning and developing Sustainable Housing Design Guidelines for context sensitive planning and design.
